Follow ups and Expectations

While the radio-iodine treatment will start working right away, it takes time for the thyroid hormone levels in your cat to fall back to normal levels. Many owners tell us they notice a difference right away, but more often it takes a bit of patience. It’s important to keep your follow-up visits (usually one month and three months after treatment) at your family veterinarian to make sure your cat’s response to treatment is going as expected.
